  • Download issues

  • Help, when I click download I get a black screen with a quicktime logo on it!

This is because the quicktime player tries to play the video inside your webbrowser, which it can't since apple fails.
Solution: right click on download, then select "Save as".
  • After clicking download there is a red 500 internal server error

This is because the fileserver is unable to handle your request, it could be that it's down or overloaded. Try again after a few minuts or an hour.

  • Managing your files.

  • How should I manage my folders?

There are two types of folders you can find here, Public folders and Private folders. You can create them in the My Files area. By default all folders are private.
    - Private folders are folders where you can sort your files, other people can not see this folder.
    - Public folders can be viewed by other people. If you have multiple files you can put these in one folder and share the folder link. There will be a link to the folder on the download page of files in this folder.

To make a folder public, click on the "Publish folder" link right next to the folder name. By default every user already has one folder named Public. In the same fashion you can make it private again.
To place files in the folders, go to the My Files area, select the files you want to move, scroll down and select the folder you want to move to in the "Move to folder" dropdown menu.

Be careful when deleting folders. Move the files elsewhere first or all files in the folder will be deleted as well.

  • What is the difference between published files and non published files?

Published files can be added to other people's accounts where they can re-share the file.

  • Uploading directly from youtube, megaupload etc

  • How does it work?

Go to the main page and click on the small circle next to 'Upload from youtube, megaupload etc'. Fill in the urls of the links you want to download to zomgupload, for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_gfD3nvh-8 or http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UWUM59WO. After clicking upload you will be taken to the status page, our specially trained monkeys will take care of the rest.
Many file hosts require you to be logged in as premium to allow remote uploads from them. Go to the My account and enter your details.. you can try it without having a login though, on the status page you can see if it worked or not.

  • From what websites can I upload?

Supported hosts with logins: Megaupload, fileserve, filesonic, rapidshare, hotfile
Supported hosts without logins: Youtube, depositfiles and 40 others. Feel free to try a host that is not on this list, if it works you can Contact us and we will add it to the list

  • It failed with an error message 'File fetching failed.. Check your logins.'

This means either our plugins are out of date, or you need a premium account for that host in order to download from them

  • It failed with an error message 'Uploading failed. please try again in an hour'

You probably logged out before the file fetching could begin, or there are problems with our fileservers.
